Children's Advanced Social Work Practitioner
About the role
This is a fantastic Social Work opportunity to work within the London Borough of Enfield as an experienced social work practitioner. As an advanced social work practitioners you will be supporting the Children In Need and Child Protection Service make a difference in lives of vulnerable children.
In your role, you will support the manager with role modelling to include supervising of social workers and acting as a expert when responding to the needs of children and their families. The role also entails assisting with overseeing the quality of work and performance to ensure a safe experiences and progress of children who need help and protection.

Our team is based in the bubbling heart of Enfield Town, situated in a modern newly designed client facing service hub. The new office has bespoke areas for service users and is an environment which supports our smart working policy.
Experience and skillset required
- You will have extensive experience working in a Statutory Social Care Setting with children and families.
- Leading practice improvements across a team and service to include contributing to developing practice within the team and providing mentoring and support less experienced social workers/ASYE’s/students.
- Lead on practice by providing reflect practice to the team.
- Support the daily duty service, to provide a coordinated response to concerns and crisis that arise.
- Have skills and experience in assessing and effectively managing high risk and complex cases, providing a responsive service.
- You will also need good skills in analysis and report writing and be able to meet tight timescales.
- Demonstrate effective and multi-agency information-sharing.
- Ensure children are regularly seen and undertake a wide range of sensitive direct work with parents and children that helps children to understand their lived experiences and promotes change.
