Your focus will be on harnessing data to provide actionable insights, contributing to operational decisions, and enhancing financial reporting and analytics capabilities.

How you'll do it

  • Manage the delivery of finance-related data products, ensuring high quality great user experience and significant business impact
  • Partner with the Business to translate their needs into actionable data driven reports through accurate and insightful requirement gathering
  • Enhance data literacy within the Finance team, aligning with NHG's broader enterprise-wide approach
  • Collaborate with Data, Analytics and Digital teams to develop advanced analytics capabilities
  • Analyse performance data to identify risks and issues, providing insight and proposing effective solutions
  • Create compelling financial data reports and analytics, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the information provided for decision-making
  • Maintain accurate data, manage large complex data sets on excel and in-house systems
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial analytics tools, contributing to the improvement of data product delivery
  • Manage and mentor the financial insights analyst fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development
  • Continuous evaluation of financial data and analytics processes, identifying areas for improvement
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, providing financial analysis and insights to various teams within the organisation through data analysis and reporting

The Ideal Candidate

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.

In addition, you will need the following:

  • A relevant degree in a Finance or Data Analytics related field and a CCAB recognised accounting qualification with supporting CPD
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work accurately with large datasets
  • Experience in leading data analytics projects and influencing operational decisions through data
  • Ability to apply analytics solutions to enhance financial management and strategic planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audience engagement; work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels across all areas of business
  • Proficiency in Excel, data analytics tools and Power BI; knowledge of D365 preferred
  • Uphold ethical principles including integrity, objectivity, professional competence
