About the role:
The Strategic Partnerships Unit is responsible for managing four statutory Strategic Partnership Boards and associated workstreams (Safeguarding Children Board, Safeguarding Adults Board, Health & Wellbeing Board and SafetyNet - our Community Safety Partnership). The Governance Support Assistant will play a crucial role in helping with the coordination and discharging of the Partnership Boards' statutory functions. Duties will include maintaining the mailing list, organising meetings, accurately recording partnership discussions and supporting with events.
As Governance Support Assistant you will have a crucial role within the Strategic Partnerships Unit, helping with the management and coordination of a range of partnership activity and communication.
You will need to be very organised and able to make effective use of relevant IT systems and Office 360 packages such as Microsoft Excel and Word. You will work well in a team and ideally you would previously have worked with senior officers. You'll be adaptable and resilient in order to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment where there are often many deadlines and changing priorities.
We are a small, diverse and friendly team based in the Town Hall at Fellowship Square in Walthamstow.

Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage the Strategic Partnerships Unit inbox and calendar, including the mailing and distribution list
- Support the wider team with effectively discharging the functions of the Strategic Partnership Boards
- Assist with the organisation and coordination of meetings and events
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Experience of managing complex inboxes and developing administrative systems as required
- Ability to use IT systems and Office 365 packages to produce high quality work
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to work confidentially and deal with sensitive information
- Be adaptable and resilient in order to respond to changing work priorities
