Learning Support Assistant  

Hours: 27.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year (8.40-3.10 worked over 5 days) 

Salary: Grade 1/2 Point 2-5 (FTE £25,854 - £27,030) Pro rata salary of £16,968 - £17,740 p.a. + TA2 allowance

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Hilldene is a large three form entry primary school with a 90 place nursery.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking Learning Support Assistant who will work to support children’s learning across the primary age range.  Initially the vacancy will be working in Early Years.  Experience of working in Early Years in a Primary school is essential.  Knowledge and experience of working with pupils on the SEND register or with an Educational Health Care Plan would be an advantage.  Experience of PECS, Makaton, Tacpac and other interventions is preferable.

Our new Learning Support Assistant needs to :
- able to work independently and use their own initiative to organise activities and tasks;
- able to manage groups or individuals from a class under the direction of the class teacher
- a good team player with a willingness to demonstrate and share information and expertise with other.
