About the role:
This is a new and exciting role within the Rents service but with responsibilities for monitoring and coordinating a wide range of technical administrative and customer services functions across all our Heat Metering and Billing services. London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF) is on an ambitious programme of providing new build homes on communal and district energy schemes. Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Heat Metering and Billing officer to review customer tariff setting with the Heat Metering & Billing Manager and calculating tariffs, using actual efficiency data in order to ensure heating tariffs are set at a suitable and affordable rate.
The successful applicant will assist in monitoring/reviewing data on energy consumed by homes with metering devices, liaising and reporting anomalies to relevant teams for appropriate and timely action. The role will also involve providing support for colleagues, metering & billing providers and customers regarding all heat network enquiries.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will play a vital role in effectively monitoring and reviewing the cost efficiency of the systems to ensure London Borough of Waltham Forest and its residents are getting value for money. This position requires a strong background in data analysis, advanced Excel skills, excellent customer care and report writing.
- English and Math Qualification (GCSE grade 4 or equivalent grade C or above),
Relevant professional Heat metering and billing qualification would be desirable. - 2 years experience in a similar role
- You must be able to work as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to our residents and stakeholders we support and be flexible in your approach to work.
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to work under regular supervision from a line manager
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to prioritise work
- Ability to ensure Performance Indicators relating to service areas are met
- Ability to participate in change effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, and to follow through required actions
