About the role:
As housing engagement manager, you will support a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring that residents' views are gathered and used to drive improvements to housing services. This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity for someone with a background in resident or stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for leading a team of engagement officers to ensure that residents are provided with consistently rich and meaningful opportunities to engage with housing services through a variety of channels and forums including:
- High level strategic resident involvement via our Resident Influence & Accountability Panel (RIAP) and Resident Building Safety Group
- Resident scrutiny teams
- tenants and residents' associations (TRAs) and informal resident groups
- residents' events, both on-site and remote
- digital and virtual engagement
- focus groups
Alongside responsible for housing engagement activities, you will also be responsible for managing several community rooms at our largest estates including our vibrant community centre at Priory Court Estate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of housing engagement officers to ensure that the Council's programme of resident engagement activities is delivered successfully with evidence of impact;
- Delivering on the regulatory requirements of the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard (outcomes about how landlords provide information, listen to tenants, and act on their views) and building a stronger landlord- tenant relationshipDeveloping new and innovative ways of ensuring residents are engaged with productively;
- Delivering the Council's housing engagement strategy to ensure that all key objectives and milestones are met;
- Ensuring that the Council's resident engagement offer is comprehensive, equitable, diverse and inclusive in its reach and successfully engages across the breadth of our communities;
- Managing the operations of the Housing services' community assets, including Priory Court Community Centre.
- Background in engagement and consultation with excellent communication skills
- Experience of successfully leading and managing a team of officers
- Demonstrable success in fostering rapport with a range of key stakeholders
- Able to switch interchangeably from a strategic to operational mindset
- Some experience in facilities management.
