About Us

OneSource Debt Resolution Services is a shared serviced partnership between The London Borough of Newham and the London Borough of Havering. This in-house Enforcement Team, operates within the M25 and is responsible for the collection of a variety of Council debts, including Council Tax, Road Traffic and Business Rates.

About the Job

We have an excellent opportunity for a Debt Resolution Officer to join our contact centre team, to collect payments, negotiate payment plans and handle queries from customers regarding various debt types.

About the Candidate

You will be required to have excellent communication and negotiation skills, your primary function will be to handle inbound telephone calls and to conduct outbound telephone calling to secure payment from defaulters. You will also be required to answer correspondence from debtors along with dealing with e-mail and live chat. You will have experience of debt collection, and have worked in the same or similar environment. You should have the ability to deal with difficult calls, and have good written and verbal skills.

Understanding of the Tribunal Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 is desired but full training will be provided to the successful candidates.
