About the Job
As an Occupational Therapy Practice Manager you will be a key member of the Occupational Therapy management team and play an essential role in supporting the delivery of high quality OT practice within the OT service. You will encourage and support progressive and innovative Occupational Therapy service delivery, using technology to deliver new ways of working. There will be a focus on prevention and demonstrating how OT can support this. You will be required to offering OT’s advice, regular formal and informal supervision and joint practice visits. As Occupational Therapists we have a strong focus on supporting residents to maximise their independence and safety in their home environment; supporting them to take control. We offer a personalised, strengths-based approach with our residents and carers at the heart of decision-making. In this role you will have oversight of the external provider contract and work closely with commissioning.
About You
You will be an Occupational Therapist who is forward thinking, highly motivated with a strong desire to deliver high quality interventions and display a positive "can do" approach. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will inspire others and be essential to your successful appointment, helping you build internal and external relationships essential to bring about positive outcomes for our residents. You will have robust experience as an OT in Adult Social Care, with a desire to support OT’s grow and flourish through supervision. You will be knowledgeable in best practice, legislation and guidance, and have some experience of managing performance.
In turn we will support your development and offer on-going learning and development opportunities together with regular supervision and performance appraisal. Our monthly OT Peer Learning is a supportive forum to enable you share and learn together with your peers.
