Job Opportunity: Service Development Manager at Tower Hamlets Children's Services

Tower Hamlets Children’s Services is seeking a dedicated Service Development Manager to join our team and spearhead the advancement of our Early Help and Children & Families Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the integration of innovative data, systems, and digital solutions within the Early Help and Children & Families service.
  • Performance Management: Enhance service efficacy through business process optimisation, robust data management, and quality assurance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Service Development Officers and Senior Analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with ICT, Strategy & Performance teams, and other council divisions to refine data accuracy and leverage insights for service improvement.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to government data and digital strategies, implementing a strong quality assurance and audit framework.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive knowledge of database management, business process workflows, and advanced SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data management and auditing.
  • Proven leadership experience in a complex environment, preferably within a local authority or children’s service.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective partnerships.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and safeguarding practices.
