About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.  Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

What You’ll Be Doing

We are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for conducting repairs and upgrades related to fire risk in various properties, including occupied and vacant housing as well as Council-owned premises. The ideal candidate will use their surveying and carpentry skills to perform maintenance, renewals, and refurbishments in compliance with fire regulations and best practices, while ensuring tenant and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will identify and mitigate fire hazards, assess and repair fire doors and structural components, and stay updated on building codes and safety standards. You will also document your work accurately, diagnose building faults, and develop cost-effective solutions. Excellent customer care is essential as you represent the repairs service and work independently while collaborating with Team Supervisors and Planners.
