About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract working 18 hours per week.
Working in the Housing Delivery team within the Place Directorate, you will play a critical role in meeting our ambition to ensure that every resident has a decent roof over their head. This post will offer an excellent opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and experience of housing development.
As Project Officer, you will be supporting a team of Project Directors, Managers and Officers in delivering housing schemes. This will include budget and contract administration, ensuring that data management systems and project documentation are accurately updated, and facilitating events and meetings as required. You will need experience and understanding of delivering housing schemes, good communication skills, and experience of liaising with a range of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide project support in all areas as part of a team of Project Directors, Managers and Officers to achieve delivery of regeneration projects within the Housing Delivery service.
Support the Project Managers as directed in the procurement and management of external contractors to deliver programmes as required.
Secure and provide accurate information for monitoring purposes on a regular basis and ensure that data management systems and project documentation are accurately and regularly updated.
Develop effective working relationships with key internal and external partners to ensure that service standards are met whilst also improving efficiency.
Effectively administer meetings to ensure projects and outputs are delivered on time, to cost and quality standards.
Facilitate, attend and contribute to committee meetings, consultation events and other meetings as required, (sometimes outside of normal office hours).
Lead on setting up and maintaining appropriate filing systems designed to promote the operational efficiency of the Housing Delivery Team.
Respond to resident, Councillor, MP and other enquiries, including formal and informal complaints and FOIs, and to ensure responses from others are co-ordinated and responded to with quality responses within identified timescales.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Degree or equivalent or vocational qualification in relevant subject or area, or relevant professional experience.
