Join Croydon Council as a Housing Digital Systems Manager and lead the transformation of our housing services through the effective use of cutting-edge technology. With oversight of our NEC Housing system, you'll play a key role in enhancing services for our diverse community of 13,400 residential properties.
Role Overview
As the Housing Digital Systems Manager, you will oversee a team of technical experts responsible for supporting and developing the NEC Housing system, which includes a wide array of modules such as Estates, Repairs, Rents, Service Charges, Allocations, and more. You will ensure the system meets the needs of service users and drives digital transformation across housing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage a skilled team of eight professionals, fostering a high-performing and innovative culture. Ensure that team members are equipped to support and develop the NEC Housing system effectively.
- Strategic System Management: Oversee the implementation and refinement of NEC Housing modules, including Online Repair Reporting, Task Manager, NEC CRM, Housing Online, and more. Ensure system capabilities align with business objectives and user needs.
- Product Management: Adopt a proactive product management approach, focusing on technical updates, system configuration, and service improvements. Identify opportunities to leverage alternative solutions to support the council’s digital transformation agenda.
- User-Centered Approach: Embrace agile and user-centered methods to drive change in system and service management. Promote continuous improvement and the adoption of service management best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including service users, NEC, and other suppliers. Build strong relationships to support transformational change and system enhancements.
- Technical Support and Maintenance: Ensure NEC Housing is supported and maintained from a technical perspective. Drive the effective use of the system to support business processes, reporting, and decision-making.
About You
- Experience: Proven experience in managing digital systems within a housing context. Strong background in NEC Housing system development and support.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills. Ability to manage complex projects and lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of NEC Housing modules, data structures, and national data frameworks. Understanding of GDPR and security management.
- Attributes: Strategic thinker, proactive, and results-oriented. Ability to work collaboratively and influence change.
