4 Borough Emergency Duty Team Casual Senior Social Worker

There is an exciting opportunity to join the 4 Borough Children’s Emergency Duty Team based in Redbridge at a time of positive development and change. The team offers a Social Work service outside of normal working hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
The 4 Borough Children’s Emergency Duty Team is responsible for responding to referrals concerning children, young people and their families. The team also has a key role in the implementation of any civil emergency procedures and is the first point of contact for all Social Work business out of normal office hours within the London Boroughs of Redbridge, Waltham Forest, Havering and Barking & Dagenham.
You should have extensive relevant post qualifying experience in Social Work, current child/care protection knowledge as well as experience in using one or more of the following databases: Protocol, Mosaic, LiquidLogic LCS/EHM.
You should be able to work on your own initiative, evidence a sound ability to assess and manage risk and be able to respond effectively in a crisis.
You must have Social Work England registration.
You must be a car driver with access to a car during your working hours.
You must live 30 minutes radius from the Redbridge Control centre.
The postholder is required to regularly undertake visits to children out of hours.
