About the role:

We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic people to work with all parts of our workforce. Theis role will be required to develop and deliver specialist support/advice for the Organisational Development Team, helping to establish a new programme of work to support the development of Waltham Forest Council.

We are building on the great work of the People Strategy 2021 - 2025 to set out how we are going to undertake Workforce and Culture Transformation and to achieve Mission Waltham Forest.

We are expanding the OD Team to ensure that we have the right resources and technical skills to support our workforce to achieve their personal and professional ambitions.

We have a number of new roles available and we are looking for people with energy, enthusiasm and passion to help deliver on significant projects across the organisation to enable an inclusive culture in Waltham Forest.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To support the modernisation of the Council's Learning and Development function ensuring that an effective learning and development offer aligned to relevant programmes is in place for Council staff.
  • To embed the Council's approach to Leadership and Talent Development and career progression pathways to include under-represented groups, graduates, inclusive internships and all workforce career development pathways.
  • To create workforce planning and staff development for the Council to future proof the organisation by supporting a robust appraisal process identifying and building plans to address areas of resource and skills shortage.
  • To support the delivery of Leadership development programmes that enable successful career progression for all staff , including under-represented groups.
  • Ensuring that the online platforms for e-learning, mentoring and other development opportunities are well maintained with the customer journey at the centre of delivery

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent or vocational qualification in relevant subject or area
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
