An exciting opportunity…

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

As Income Maximisation Manager, you’ll be using your detailed knowledge of income collection and Service Level Agreement management to ensure that the Housing Management Service receives value for money from corporate services and partners, and collects the most amount of income owed from tenants and leaseholders to ensure that they in turn live in good quality homes on clean, safe estates. You will create a leasehold service that puts Home Owners views at its heart and truly owns and manages the relationship between them and the freeholder, promoting Brent Council and the Housing Management Service as an excellent Freeholder and borough to be proud to own a home in.

You will challenge colleagues and staff corporately and across the joint landlord service to operate with a commercial mindset, and will promote a data driven approach to performance management of income related KPIs.

The Person

The successful applicant will be committed and collaborative with the enthusiasm and drive to increase income for the Housing Revenue Account. You will need to be creative, passionate, persistent and skilled in delivering improvements. Your negotiation and influencing skills will be well developed and you will be able to productively challenge partners and ways of thinking to achieve results. It is crucial that you can integrate yourself as part of a team and get buy in from corporate partners with differing work pressures, in order that they prioritise outcomes for the HRA, tenants and leaseholders.
