Heritage Centre Digital Archivist
£37,443 - £39,264 per annum
Fixed Term - December 2025

The Digital Archivist will place a crucial role within the CTOL project by establishing a digital preservation strategy that caters for long-term preservation of digital objects, both born-digital and assets created from digitisation.  The post holder will research and recommend a digital preservation system for implementation, appraise the archive collections for immediate long-term digitisation priorities and advise on the cataloguing of digital records. 

The post holder will be expected to work to cataloguing targets set in collaboration with the Archivist and feed into the regular NLHF progress reports. The post holder will also be expected to supervise the archive’s volunteer team in aid of the cataloguing programme. 

The Digital Archivist will be creative and enthusiastic with a passion for working with digital records. They will have strong communication skills and an adaptable and flexible approach to their work, and be willing to contribute to occasional outreach and engagement activities when relevant. The ideal post holder will be excited by the prospect of contributing to a significant NLHF funded project as part of a wider project team.

This role is fixed term initially until December 2025.
