Support Officer (Telecare)
Grade 4- £29,139pa - £31,440pa 36 hours per week permanent position {office based}
We are seeking someone with precise attention to detail, and a common sense approach to their work. You will provide effective and responsive administrative support for allocated operational activity in a robust, timely, efficient and cost effective manner. We expect you to take ownership of the role, and we will listen to any feedback or suggestions in regards to developing the effectiveness of the Supporting Officers position.
Havering Telecare Centre are responsible for providing life-saving devices and assistive technology to elderly and vulnerable residents in the borough. We provide an installation and response service, responding to falls and other medical emergencies.
We work closely with Adult Social Services, the NHS and other partner organisations, handling referrals, ensuring safe hospital discharges, and enabling individuals to live independently despite health conditions and other challenging life circumstances. The service also manages the delivery of Havering Council’s Building Alarm Monitoring Team, and our Out of Hours service.
The position holder must have experience in an admin or support officer role, demonstrate competence when using Microsoft office applications {particularly word, excel, and outlook} and communicate effectively and professionally via the phone and through emails.
The role will involve the following on a regular basis:
• Facilitating meetings as required
• Data entry and administration of stats and KPI’s
• Updating records, costs and details into databases
• Liaising with officers, contractors and suppliers as required
• You will have exemplary written and verbal communication skills
• You will have excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• The post holder will be required to work 36 hours per week, office based
