Council Housing department is seeking a Building Safety Manager to lead on the management of building safety within the Council, The Building Safety Manager role is to take responsibility for and work with the Responsible Person/s and the Accountable Person to ensure compliance with the requirements under the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and internal building safety management s requirements across the Council’s housing stock. This position is to coordinate the maintenance of the Safety Case Reports and Building Assurance Certificates pertaining to high-rise buildings.
The Building Safety Manager will have full range of responsibilities.  This includes to provide expert and technical knowledge, to effectively manage safety case report, to carry out site inspections, etc.  The successful applicant will have experience of working within social housing and building safety.
