Exams Invigilator
Salary: Scale 1, SP 3 (£13.98 per hour, plus holiday pay)
Contract Type: Casual
Start date: September 2024
St Edward’s CofE Academy is looking to develop a team of high-quality examination invigilators to cover internal and external exams. Being part of this team will involve supervising examinations to make sure that all regulations are adhered to and helping with related administration such as preparing scripts for dispatch to the examining board.
No experience is necessary however, invigilators have to:
- be reliable, flexible and readily available during main exam periods
- have effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills
- be able to work well as part of a team
- be confident and a reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms
- be able to give instructions and manage situations involving different groups of people
- have basic IT skills (familiar with use of email, mobile phone messaging etc.)
