We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Passenger Transport team in the role of Operations Manager. Based at the Council’s principal vehicle depot at Ley Street you will be leading a frontline customer facing team predominantly of staff whom drive passenger carrying vehicles transporting children with special educational needs and disabilities from their homes to school and back home, as well as vulnerable adults to day centres and activities.

  • To manage a team of Team Leaders, Driver/Attendants and a Business Development Officer, acting as the overall Line Manager for the department.

NB this is not an exhaustive list.

As a leader of a frontline, customer facing operation it is expected that the successful candidate should be present and accessible to the team they are leading.
