Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm (some weekend and evening work required)


We are Looking for an outreach officer to work with and engage the local community, and to help identify areas where income can be increased or generated as well as providing administrative support to site staff and managers, including marketing and website updates across both Hanwell Community Centre and The Dominion Centre in Southall. The role will include:

  • In consultation with relevant managers, to execute marketing, sales and promotional activities to promote Ealing Council, and in particular Hanwell Community Centre & the Dominion Centre.
  • To assist relevant managers, with administration duties and any other duties related to the running of community centres.
  • To help widen the council’s commitment to providing the community with low cost, but engaging activities that link into the support of the boroughs cultural and educational targets.
  • Assist the Community Hub Manager with marketing and promotion of the arts and heritage services.
  • Support the Community Hub Manager with community outreach and marketing plans, both overall and for specific projects.
  • Support the Community Hub Manager to coordinate internal communications and external partners for maximum impact.
  • Assist the Community Hub Manager in analysing data to determine target audiences and how to engage them.
  • Support the Community Hub Manager to update and maintain the website with relevant, engaging information and new activities.

This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role.  This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.


Hours on offer are 35 hours a week. You will be expected to work some evenings and weekends but predominantly it will be a Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm role. Please ensure you are available to work the hours before applying.
