We need you to serve our residents in the way that suits them, including in our Residents’ Hub, on the phone and online. We are looking for people who are interested in working more flexible work patterns on seven hour shifts up until 7pm in the evening.

About the role
Tower Hamlets Housing Options Service is looking for Housing Options officers specialising in private sector tenancy advice to join a busy front-line team to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. So that crisis situations are averted, you will offer advice, support, and solutions to vulnerable people to resolve their homelessness.
You will have knowledge and experience of processing applications made under the Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended), utilising relevant legislation, such as the Protection from Eviction Act 1977, Deregulation Act 2015, Equality Act 2010, Domestic Abuse Act 2021 etc in performance of the tasks of the role. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, both for interviewing vulnerable homeless applicants as well as in correspondence with landlords and other stake holders.
Enthusiasm and strong motivation to work within homelessness services, as well as a ‘can-do’ attitude are key as we are seeking people with the right competences to join our passion in providing those experiencing homelessness with solutions-based services.
