Pensions Coordinator (Pensions Monitoring team)
1 year – Fixed-term contract for external applicants and/or secondment opportunity for LBE employees
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person to join our busy pensions monitoring team. This position is offered as a temporary contract for 12 months.
The role is full time; however, we will consider requests for part time working from suitable candidates.
We expect you to have good working knowledge of both the Local Government Pension Scheme and the Teachers’ Pension scheme at a level commensurate to the grade of the post.
The role will see you undertake a range of pensions co-ordinator duties to support the team. These are detailed in the role profile.
The reason for the position being temporary is that we need additional support and capacity to help us over the next 12 months with several projects including MCR for teachers pensions and pensions reconciliation exercises.
The successful post holder will also undertake more general pensions co-ordinator work under the direction and guidance of the pensions manager and the pensions team.
The appointed person will receive face to face training from all members of the pensions team in a focussed short induction to the role. Initially the person will be expected to work at least 3 days a week in Perceval House for most of the week. Once proficient and more knowledgeable about pensions tasks, the person can move to a blend of home and office working, with at least 2 days a week being worked at Perceval House.
Ealing Council employees will be offered a secondment, external candidates will be offered a fixed term contract. Ealing employees please ensure the secondment release form is signed by your line manager prior to applying. Please return your completed form to: hrssc-recruitmentteam@ealing.gov.uk
This post is subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process.
