An experienced SEND Teacher/Lecturer/Tutor required to support adults with SEND in an OFTSED rated Good Adult learning Programme, which forms part of Brent Council’s Adult and Community Learning Provision.

The Post
 
To plan and deliver a creative and innovative quality learning programme to take into account individual student needs, abilities, background and experience. Using a variety of teaching methods and appropriate resources, to enable students to maximise their learning and develop confidence and the ability to learn independently and in a group.
 
The Person
 
You will be a highly experienced SEND practitioner with a minimum of three years SEND teaching experience in secondary or post-16 education with a background in whole curriculum teaching You will have experience of delivering teaching and learning to a range of SEN.
 
Have experience of supporting learners with any of the following Autism (ASC), mental health, SEMH, ADHD, Speech and Language and Specific Learning difficulties would be very desirable.
 
You will have experience in the formulation, development and review of personal support plans for learners with a range of needs.
 
Have a understanding of how behavioural, emotional or social needs impact on learning and available strategies.
 
You will have up to date CPD and current knowledge of SEND legislation, strategy and key policies within the sector.
 
You will have relevant teaching qualification i.e. DTTLS, PTTLS, PGCE or equivalent.
