Brent Building Control are pleased to announce a fantastic opportunity it has for ambitious RBI surveyors to join a successful and established team. We are based at our award-winning Brent Civic Centre, with views looking directly over Wembley Stadium, Wembley Arena and with the London Designer Outlet and the vibrant Wembley regeneration area and all its amenities right next door. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for a recently registered building inspector who wants to develop their skills and gain invaluable experience working within our Major Projects Team and Domestic Surveying Team. You will be able to build on your existing qualifications and experience, working alongside Chartered Surveyors, Chartered Structural Engineers, Chartered Fire Engineers and Chartered Building Engineers in supporting the Building Control Management Team.

We have a wealth of exciting challenges for a qualified and experienced Registered Building Inspector to work within our multi-disciplinary service. We have a wide range of residential domestic projects, ongoing work on the world-famous Wembley Stadium and numerous new build high-rise domestic and commercial developments all across the Borough.

The Post
 
Located right in the heart of the Wembley regeneration area and working throughout Brent, we require an experienced Class 2F registered building inspector to complement our existing district surveyors’ team. 

You will be responsible for delivering an effective Building Control Service to our    customers on various domestic, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will be expected to take responsibility and administer the surveying requirements for an area of the borough. You will be expected to work on your own dealing with all aspects of building control / regulations inquires and tasks and assist in the supervision of other officers at your grade or below.
 
The Person
 
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, flexible, forward thinking, ambitious and customer focussed surveyors with relevant Building Control knowledge and experience of dealing with Building Regulation applications at plan examination and site inspection stages.
 
You will need to be an effective communicator with all stakeholders, technically sound with the ability to promote and represent the Building Control service.
 
Your will support and assist the Service in delivering projects on time, while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
 
You will be required to supervise other surveyors and provide training under an agreed structured programme.
 
You will be encouraged to work towards the BSR Class 3(G/H) and undertake CPD training via the my LABC programme. 
 
You will need a full driving license and the use of a car to undertake the duties.
