Redbridge is one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough.
We are looking for keen, enthusiastic, and suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Health Practitioner, who will complement and add value to our existing skilled workforce.
You will be required to undertake food hygiene and food standard inspections and investigate complaints about food and food outlets. You will also investigate cases relating to food borne illness and infectious disease as well as health and safety issues across the borough. The successful candidate will also be involved in food related project work.
A comprehensive knowledge of food safety and food standards is essential. You will be required to comply with FSA Food Law Code of Practice for an Authorised Officer and so be able to inspect the full range of food premises and approved premises.
You should possess excellent communication skills and have experience in managing a busy caseload with a strong track record of performance. The ability to offer accurate, concise technical advice is essential. The successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and have excellent organisational skills.
You must have a recognised qualification in Environmental Health or the Higher Certificate in Food Control and be registered with EHRB with evidence of some recent CPD.
Applicants should be flexible and organised with the ability to work accurately whilst working to deadlines.
