We are seeking a dedicated Project Officer to join our dynamic team supporting the Camden Rebuilding Bridges project. Funded through the DfE’s Short Breaks Innovation Fund until 31 March 2025, this pilot initiative aims to enhance school attendance, emotional well-being, and reduce behaviours of concern and social isolation for children and young people with SEND and support disabled young people to be better prepared for independent living in adulthood.
As a Project Officer, you will collaborate closely with a Strategic Commissioning Manager and Project Manager, alongside voluntary sector partners, child and adolescence mental health services (CAMHS), and council colleagues including with educational psychologists, early help and the children’s disability social work team. Your key responsibilities will include supporting project planning, coordinating delivery activities, and fostering partnerships across multiple agencies involved in the project.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a proven track record of working in fast-paced environment and will excel in communicating effectively with diverse internal colleagues and external partners. Strong administration and organisation skills are key to this role. You will demonstrate a solid understanding of local government and partnership workings in children services, coupled with hands-on experience supporting day-to-day project delivery.
You will have experience of liaising with a wide range of colleagues from different organisations and have the ability to work collaboratively with professionals in complex multi-agency settings.
Your strong verbal and written communication skills will be complemented by flexibility in managing multiple projects concurrently, skillfully balancing priorities and deadlines understanding the needs of others. Ideally you will have a good understanding of safeguarding principles concerning children and young people.
