The role
As a valued member of our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), your role is pivotal in protecting individuals, as well as their families and support networks. This position involves developing robust, both virtual and in-person, relationships with colleagues and teams across various communities. Your efforts are essential in enhancing the safeguarding outcomes for individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Expertise in Mental Health Social Work is indispensable in our endeavour to improve outcomes for those facing multiple disadvantages. This role enables you to provide comprehensive support to the most vulnerable members of our community, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they genuinely need.
Your mission is to forge lasting relationships, helping people and their networks to build fulfilling lives and maintain mental well-being. Your approach will be strengths-based, recovery-focused, and deeply rooted in the core values of Social Work.
You will also contribute to a culture of shared learning and continuous improvement across our service, championing strengths-based practices.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
About you
The ideal candidate holds a BA, BSc, DIPSW, CQSW, MA in Social Work, or equivalent, and is registered with Social Work England. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development, actively pursuing qualifications such as the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). With previous experience as a Mental Health Social Worker, you will bring a comprehensive understanding of support options, interventions, and resources. Your expertise encompasses relevant legislation and best practices, and exhibit a keen dedication to working with individuals facing multiple disadvantages within our communities.
