Social Work Apprentice (Children)

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as Social Work Apprentices in our Children & Families teams in Enfield, starting Tuesday 3rd September 2024. Salary £35,577 to £36,567
We are offering a fantastic opportunity to achieve an undergraduate degree in Social Work, whilst gaining ‘on the job’ experience to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified Social Worker.

After successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Social Work (England), which will enable you to apply for registration as a Social Worker with the regulatory body, Social Work England. Thereafter you will be supported to apply for a Newly Qualified Social Worker role at Enfield Council.
Requirements
- Evidence of suitable academic ability i.e., GCSE Maths and English (Grade A-C or 9-4) or equivalent.
- 120 UCAS points (or equivalent). If you do not have this, you will be required to complete a 1000-word assignment within the University of Kent application form.
- Direct and varied work experience within children and families and have the potential to take on the challenges and responsibility of a qualified Social Worker;
- Keen to learn and motivated to succeed;
- Willing to provide excellent service to Enfield residents.

- This apprenticeship is full time (36 hours), on a 3-year fixed term contract.

What happens next:
Applicants who are shortlisted will then progress through 3 stages:
Stage 1
Online test - you will be sent a link to complete a 45 min written online test to be completed within one week from 13th June 2024. If successful, you will be invited to complete stage 2.
Stage 2
Assessment & Interviews to be held in person at Thomas Hardy House, Enfield on 3rd July 2024. Subject to meeting the criteria the shortlisted candidates will move onto stage 3:

Complete Skills Scan - Applicants who are shortlisted will need to complete a Skills Scan Document to be returned by Tuesday 11th July 2024.
