About Camden

We Make Camden and The Way We Work, set forth an organisational vision centred on relationships, innovation, and people, moving beyond bureaucratic approaches.

Camden is building somewhere everyone can thrive, by making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit. We’re home to some of the most important conversations happening today, and our mission led approach we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.

We are a values-lead organisation and work in a relational way. In this context, our growing community of Data Analysts use data to connect people, inform conversations and empower decision-makers.

Data in Camden

Data are crucial in supporting both people and communities across Camden and we are investing in our data capabilities to realise social value in new and exciting ways, creating new insights into complex social issues and the lived experiences of people across the borough.

We believe that data rights are human rights and have published our first of a kind Data Charter which presents the principles by which we ensure that data are used for public good in a transparent, ethical and accountable way.

We have an appetite for innovation, and the work of our data analysts increasingly leverages emergent technologies such as those in the spheres of Generative AI, Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.

About the roles

We are seeking two Lead Data Analysts, each responsible for data analysis across our Supporting People services or Supporting Communities services. This is a rare opportunity for you to operate as a leader within a progressive community of Data Analysts, developing innovative approaches to data analysis that unblock and ensure that Camden is a place that works for everyone.

As a Lead Data Analyst in Camden, you will be an accomplished data analysis expert with a body of knowledge and experience of relevant skills, tools, and techniques that you are able to share with others and use to implement and oversee data analysis that effectively supports us in delivering for the people of Camden.

You will be comfortable leading a substantive team of other data analysts, growing talent, ensuring adherence to standards, prioritising existing work and proposing new projects. You will also be able to serve as a key point of contact for senior leadership, acting as an expert in data analysis and analytics and ensuring that they benefit fully from the work carried out by our Data Analysts.
