Apprentice Associate Project Manager
A great opportunity has risen for a Associate Project Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship position with the Parking Service area.

Salary: Scale 4 £27,855- £29,139 per annum.
Assignment duration: This is a 24 month fixed term temporary position.
About us
The London Borough of Newham is located only 5 miles east of London. It is well positioned with access to all major networks in London and the south east. It is well connected by public transport with, bus, tube and DLR. When the Cross rail service opens it will call at Custom House close to our council offices and also Stratford station and from there to central London. The London City Airport which serves major European cities is located at Royal Albert Dock. Newham has the youngest overall population in the country. It was one of the six host boroughs for the 2012 Summer Olympics and contains most of the Olympic Park including the London Stadium. It has a thriving arts quarter with the both the Theatre Royal Stratford East and Stratford Circus Arts Centre offering excellent entertainment for all the family. There is the University of East London which has two campuses in Newham, one in Stratford and another next to the regenerated Royal Albert Dock. It also has a large Westfield shopping Centre in Stratford which has all the major retailers there.

About the job
Working with the Parking Service you will be providing support to Project Managers in a wide range of parking related projects. Such projects could range from the production of new procedures, new business processes, technology changes, financial analysis/forecasting, re-tendering exercises, new contracts as well as new build/maintenance projects. Your role will be to support the Project Manager leading certain strategic projects, with a view to managing your own projects when appropriate training and criteria has been met. On successful completion of the End Point Assessment (EPA), candidates will gain a Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification in Project Management - Associate Project Manager. There are prospects for individuals to pursue a career within the service or another team in the council.
You will be treated like a permanent employee working Monday to Friday, receiving a salary and holidays.
About you
We are looking for an individual who is willing to learn and undertake on the job training, working towards achieving an Associate Project Manager Standard Level 4 apprenticeship. Candidates should be working within a Project Management related role and directly manage projects within their role.
If you are interested in the above apprenticeship, you will need 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) to apply. Grade A-C/4-9 in English Language and Maths is desired. Where GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths have not been achieved, then you must be willing to undertake the Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in these subjects before taking the end - point assessment.
You will be required to participate in classes and workshops that take place on-site, at the training provider’s establishment, complete the prescribed tests, assignments, and engage in scheduled meetings with the trainer and your line manager. Candidates are required to gain knowledge, skills and experience throughout their apprenticeship. Learn about the industry they are in and specific best practice in that field. On the job training and ongoing support will be offered by the line manager and training provider assessor.
