The role

We are seeking an Advice and Assessment Officer’s to provide an assessment and billing service for residents who receive a care package from Camden for residential and non-residential support. 

Working as part of a busy team you will be supporting and assisting our most vulnerable residents for our Adult Social Care Teams through providing an individualised financial assessment and billing service to all Adult Social Care customers.

The role involves working with residents and social care professionals to collect information and to complete financial assessments, calculating what people are asked to pay towards their care. As part of this you will be required to visit residents, together with managing correspondence and communicating by letter, email and telephone. Our customers require varying levels of support so excellent communication and customer service skills are required.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

About you

The successful post holder will have good working knowledge in several areas including the benefits system, and social care legislation, with experience of providing a financial assessment or similar service. You will be an excellent communicator with experience of working with disabled and vulnerable people. You will be a team player, with a highly organised approach to your work and the ability to use your initiative and judgement.
