About the Team:

This is a small team with great potentials. You will be lead multi-agency planning for environmental enforcement team and have the ability to deliver excellent service standards, within the legal framework to achieve the best possible outcomes for the team and service. 

You will be responsible for allocating team workloads and providing case management.  Provide supervision and mentoring staff. 

To support the Service Managers and advising on strategy, policy and future direction of the service, ensuring effective feedback and translation into service delivery. 

About the Role:

This is a management role in charge of the enforcement team.

To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:

  • To manage a team of four Environmental Enforcement Officers. Must have team leadership management experience using section 33; 34; 46; 47 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. Be able to write policy, strategies documentation and briefings to senior management. 
  • Enforce the Environmental Protection Act 1990 mainly under section 33 (fly tipping), section 34 (Duty of Care), section 46/47 (presentation of waste). 
  • A self-motivated, lone worker with Enforcement experience and a drive to achieve and exceed targets. Experience in serving fixed penalty notices, liaising with various stakeholders and a team player is important for this position. 
  • Advance knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation. 
  • Able to write professional letters to Councillors, residents with good command of English on a daily basis. 
  • Able to work 35hrs five-day week including Saturdays (Once a month).
