£24,417.64 - £26,187.43 including London Weighting Allowance

Full Time, Term Time Only, 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

United Colleges Group (UCG) is based at the heart of the education sector in London.  With a combined turnover of £50m, the Group has both the ambition and strength to create a lasting difference in the local communities it serves, and beyond.

Are you a compassionate, enthusiastic individual with a commitment to student well-being? Do you want to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives and contribute to their development and independence? If so, United Colleges Group would be excited to welcome you to our dedicated Learning Support Assistant team, working with Supported Learning students at both the Willesden Green and Maida Vale Campuses.

You will be supporting students across the three strands of our provision: The Complex Needs strand for students with profound and multiple learning disabilities based on intensive interaction; the Independent Living Skills strand for students developing the skills required to live as independently as possible; and the Employability strand for students developing the skills, attributes and confidence to gain paid employment in the future. The majority of our learners have come from a specialist school setting.

To succeed in this role, you will need to work well with others, have excellent communication skills, and most importantly a dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

In return, the Group offers generous annual leave, a defined-benefit pension scheme, an interest-free season ticket loan, cycle scheme, free sight tests, enhanced maternity and paternity leave schemes and many other benefits.

Please note that we may close the application prior to the listed date should sufficient applicants be received.

The College is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.  Successful applicants will be subject to full-vetting procedures including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services Check.
