LSE Supported Employment Officer
Are you passionate about supporting residents with learning disabilities and/ or autism into work? Are you looking for a fresh new challenge within a dynamic team?
The Team
The Supported Employment Team assist local people to access employment via placements and traineeships hosted at external organisations or temporary appointments within the Council. We work with clients who may need additional and targeted support such as care leavers, people with learning disabilities, women returning to the labour market, people aged 50plus and any other group who is furthest labour.
This role is a FTC until 31st March 2025. We are looking for someone creative and energetic who can lead this new project, supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/ or autism into sustainable employment.
You will have:
- Creative approach to working with those with learning disabilities and/ or autism
- Confident communication skills with an ability to engage multiple stakeholders at a time
- Ability to manage a caseload of clients and support their progression to enhance wellbeing and dignity
- A proactive approach to making a real difference to the lives of our residents
- Attention to detail to data management when using a CRM system and maintaining client records
- Able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure when dealing with multiple stakeholders
- An understanding the 5-stage model of Supported Employment
