Youth Support Worker
The Post
We Are Looking For An Innovative Candidate With Extensive Experience And Knowledge Of Working With Vulnerable Young People Impacted By Gangs/Gang Related Activities, Those Young People At Risk Of Offending, Serious Harm Or Poor Outcomes. The Position Is Part-Time Covering 2 Days Per Week, And May Involve Some Out Of Hours Work (Evenings And Weekends) Within The Early Intervention Framework.
The Post Holder Will Help Reduce The Escalation Of Cases Through Participating In The Delivery Of Services By The Accelerated Support Team (AST) Core Members; Adopting A Whole Family Approach And Providing An Intensive Rapid Response Service. With The Aim Of Reducing The Number Of Young People Going Into Interim Care.
You Will Work In Partnership With Colleagues In The Children And Young People Department, Wider Council, Schools, Police, Aligned And Commissioned Services As Well As Voluntary Agencies, To Ensure That The LA’s Statutory Duties Are Carried Out And Delivered Effectively.
