The role
This is an exciting role where you can really make an impact to the lives of Camden children.
The role of Quality Assurance & Practice Development Officer is to encourage a learning culture through the demonstration of strong practice, knowledge, championing core social work values and participating as appropriate in audit/qa activity and practice development initiatives. You will complete work that will be led by the needs of the Service and directly contributes to achieving and maintaining outstanding levels of social work practice and leadership for Camden children. You will be aware of and will use performance data to enhance understanding of the lived experiences and quality of services provided to Camden’s children and their families.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
About you
We are looking for someone who is fully qualified, accredited social work professional status (CQSW, Dip SW, CSS or PQCSS), and substantial and broad experience of Children’s Social Care both at a practitioner and manager level. You will ideally have 5 years’ qualified, accredited social work professional status (CQSW, Dip SW, CSS or PQCSS), and substantial and broad experience of Children’s Social Care both at a practitioner and manager level.
The role will need to bring to the role your on point auditing and quality assurance skills, as well as experience of operational management of social work teams. You will also have the ability to anticipate, analyse and interpret relevant policy changes, assess the impact, and advise and lead on the implementation changes to practice.
You will need to have the ability to offer appropriate, constructive, and effective challenge to improve outcomes for children, as well as be able to scrutinise and review policy and practice to ensure continuous improvements.
