Internal Communications Officer - Housing Grade 11 (£41,793- £43,815)
Croydon is going through one of the biggest organisational transformation programmes in local government. We’re looking for someone to join our team and help support the workforce through this change. From improving culture to embedding new organisational strategy and structures, this is a chance to make a positive difference to a large organisation during a critical time.
This role will lead internal communications for our housing directorate – an area that’s already been through significant change to improve homes, build better relationships with residents and develop workplace culture.
There is more transformation work to come, and we’re looking for someone to work alongside staff at all levels. To listen, learn and help share the directorate’s story, bringing people together, helping them navigate change and new systems - as well as celebrating success.
Sitting as part of a busy communications service and working very closely with housing colleagues, we are looking for someone with proven experience managing change communications and contributing to company culture through regular, authentic communications and employee engagement activities. Project management experience, especially around HR processes and behaviour change is desirable. Local government background is preferred but not essential.
We’re looking for someone that really cares about good internal communications, understands the difference it can make and believes in its place at the top table of any organisation.
Workplaces, working patterns and employee expectations are changing – can you be a part of what that means for Croydon?
