Teaching Assistant

Hours: 32 hours per week x 39 weeks per year (8.30am to 3.24pm). Monday to Friday

Grade: Grade 1/ 2 point 2-5

Pro Rota Salary: £18,045 - £18,943 p.a (FTE £23,628 - £24,804 p.a.)

Contract: Permanent

Crowlands Primary School, part of The Growing Together Federation, are looking for a committed and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant who will have experience of working with pupils with ASD and Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, including ADHD.

The successful applicants will be expected:

To support pupils in developing social skills both in and out of the classroom.
To remove triggers that promote challenging behaviour, including adapting the environment and tailoring activities to meet the individual's needs.
To develop pupils' language, reading, numeracy and related skills as directed by class teachers;
To be enthusiastic and self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team;
To share a drive and commitment to work in partnership with children, staff, parents and other professionals.
Computer literate and be willing to undertake in-house online training.

Teaching Assistants are used throughout the school and so you must be prepared to work from Nursery – Year 6 either in a classroom, small group or 1:1 with a pupil.
