Fellowship Square Activation Manager

Adding to the impressive list of existing destinations in Waltham Forest, is Fellowship Square, the transformed Grade II listed Town Hall campus.  In addition to its role as the civic heart of the borough, it is now a spectacular hospitality, experiential and cultural venue.  A new and growing destination, steeped in cultural history, Fellowship Square is bursting with possibilities and opportunities. We are now looking for an experienced and exceptional Activation Manager to join our team and  to deliver and realise the potential of this ambitious thriving hub.

You will be instrumental in bringing together local businesses and partners to activate Fellowship Square with a rich and diverse year-round programme of events, establishing it as a platform for local enterprise and a thriving destination for residents and visitors.  With knowledge of Waltham Forest, the Activation Manager will be able to deliver a financially viable annual activity programme of events with a sound commercial approach.

You will have a proven track record in managing cultural programmimg, preferably in the events or hospitality sector, be highly organised with excellent people and communication skills.   You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and experience of managing operations and hospitality, and to measure, review and recommend improvements.  This will enable the team to learn and build even greater and better experiences, in line with the Destination Strategy goals  

Your role will require close working with the Fellowship Square team including an Operations Manager, Marketing Manager and a Commercial Manager as well as a team of Duty Managers and Visitor Assistants. Relationships with internal stakeholders will be key for providing an efficient, cost effective and flexible service, delivering organisational, stakeholder and customer requirements.  Our commitment will require a creative and bespoke touch that is reflected in the attitude and experience of our team.

Fellowship Square is open for cultural, commercial and hospitality events every day, Monday to Sunday, from 7am to 10pm. As part of the Destinations team, the successful candidate will be required to work across shift patterns, that cover this unique and vibrant community environment across the full week.
