The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Council’s Communities Division. Your role will be to support the Empowering Communities Team.

The Council’s Empowering Communities Programme takes a fresh look at how communities work together and interact with the Council. It delivers a new way of engaging local people in the issues that affect them at a very local level.

You will provide daily administrative support to the Empowering Communities Team, manage our social media platforms and maintain the unit's databases and systems, including undertaking data entry and carrying out data cleansing exercises.

You will also support the team to raise purchase orders and process invoices, ensuring that corporate requirements are fully met.

About You

Previous experience in a business administration role.

Experience of dealing with customers in a professional manner.

Experience of using various engagement tools including social and digital media.

Experience of processing purchase orders and invoices.

The ability to use spreadsheets confidently, gather data, undertake analysis and present findings.

To be available for occasional weekend and evening work.
