Library Assistant Part Time – to start ASAP
Monday – Friday 12.00 pm – 5.00 pm – 25 hours per week (TTO + INSET: 39 weeks)
Salary SC3 (£26,193 - £26,625 per annum) pro-rata
actual salary: £16,163 pa (pay award pending)
Sydenham School is seeking an enthusiastic and effective Library Assistant to assist in the day-to-day running of our busy school library. We wish to recruit an individual who has experience of providing learning resources within an educational setting and who possesses excellent IT skills.
The role demands a high level of organisational planning and the capacity to provide a first class service that meets the needs of both students and the curriculum. There will be a strong focus on actively promoting the enjoyment of reading and student engagement with books and literature.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
· Experience of working in a library in a school or educational environment
· Excellent written and oral communications skills
· Excellent ‘can do’ attitude and a flexible approach.
