In Waltham Forest we want all families  to have access to the services and the support they need; as well as fun and education activities within easy reach of their home, so we’re making sure our families are at the heart of everything we do.

Our new family hubs will be based in neighbourhoods offering families health services, employment support, specialist therapeutic advice, creative play and parenting programmes.

So a one stop shop  for families to access the support they need, no matter the age of their child.

The Leyton Family Hub is looking for a Family Hub Officer , previously known as a Children and Family Centre Officer to perform a variety of support and organisational functions/duties to deliver the family hub services and ensure the effective and timely delivery of various projects and services at the hub.

The postholder will report to the Area Manager for the family hub and will work very closely with them on specific projects and events. The postholder will need to have excellent communication skills with internal staff, other organisations and members of the public who call or visit the building.

As well as being one of the key contact points for the family hub they will be receiving and dealing with personal callers and telephone enquiries, the postholders will promote the hub by marketing and advertising what’s available.  They will also coordinate the booking activity and liaise with the various service providers to ensure a smooth running service. This role will also provide administrative support to the Parenting team and the Early Help Delivery team based at the Leyton Family Hub.

You will also need excellent IT skills, particularly on spread sheet applications and data coordination as well as substantial experience of database management and maintenance.
