Job introduction

We are seeking to appoint a Board Support Officer as part of the continuing development of the Brighton and Hove Safeguarding Adults Board (BHSAB).

The BHSAB is a statutory multi-agency partnership that is responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating local adult safeguarding arrangements under the Care Act 2014.

About the role

This is an interesting and varied role and we are seeking someone who is motivated, able to work flexibly across multiple workstreams, and with relevant knowledge and experience of adult safeguarding. Tasks will include -

  • co-ordinating and leading governance and performance accountability tasks including multi-agency quality assurance audits, assessments, and reviews.
  • co-ordinating Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SAR) processes and related activities, including triaging referrals, supporting review processes, and embedding learning through the creation of multimedia learning and development resources.
  • contributing to the development and publication of strategic plans, associated work plans, and Annual Reports.
  • representing the BHSAB in a range of settings, continuing to develop relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally as well as across the community.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
