Grade 4- £26,913-£29,214pa

We require a Reconciliations officer providing services to the London Boroughs of Havering and Newham.

The purpose of the role is to deliver day to day reconciliations support, operate reconciliation processes, provide advice in relation to reconciliations and meet transactional processing and reconciliations deadlines.

You will be responsible for supporting the accurate recording of income ensuring that daily and monthly statements reconcile, investigating and resolving errors and problems that impact and prevent accurate recording of income.

You will also assist in the processing of cheques, provide support and advice to other areas of the council in relation to income and reconciliations and work as a member of the team supporting the finance function as required.

About you
The following experience is required for this role:

  • Reconciling accounting records preferably within local government
  • Utilising complex accounting systems (ideally Oracle Fusion and CivicaPay)
  • Confident communicating with different officers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and with high levels of accuracy
  • IT literate with strong Excel skills and able to analyse complex data
  • Able to prioritise competing demands on time when faced with several targets and deadlines
