Principal Fair Trading/Trading Standards Officer

This is a role for an experienced Trading Standards professional who will form part of the Consumer Protection Team.  You will support the Head of Service, working predominately on the following areas of work; product safety, doorstep crime, protection of children from harm (ARS test purchasing) and illicit tobacco. You will be expected to manage your own case load of work and be capable of working with minimal supervision.
You will also be responsible for the management of staff who undertake work that supports colleagues in the private rented sector eg issuing of penalties for failure to belong to Client Money Protection Schemes; non display of information(fees/membership); failure to belong to redress scheme etc.
