Project Manager – Leisure
The Role
We are recruiting two Project Managers to lead on a range of projects as part of the council’s Leisure Capital Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Leisure Directorate, Policy and Programmes team. The role will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of medium to large-scale construction projects informed by extensive consultation with internal stakeholders, residents and businesses from all sections of Southwark’s diverse communities.

About You
You will have a keen interest in parks, play and leisure provision, and be able to champion the broad benefits that access to good quality open spaces and recreational facilities offers to local communities.
You will have proven project management experience including the successful delivery of construction projects of varying sizes and budgets. You will be capable of managing teams of specialist consultants and contractors, and be skilled in budget management.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for working with stakeholders and the ability to produce complex reports and presentations to a wide range of audiences.
