At the heart of our school’s ‘Life in all its fullness’ vision is our desire to create an Inclusive school where children with additional needs can find their place. In September 2022 we were awarded ‘Centre of Excellence’ status by the Inclusion Quality Mark and we are incredibly excited for the next step of our Inclusion provision journey, with the opening of our ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision) in September 2023 for children with ASD/Social Communication needs.
Our ARP will be a newly-built, well-resoured, 12 place provision for ASD pupils. The purpose of the provision is to provide bespoke support for pupils and provide opportunities for the children to access the mainstream curriculum as appropriate.
We are seeking a teaching assistant who shares our vision and passion for Inclusion, with expertise in supporting pupils, with a range of additional needs, particularly ASD and social communication difficulties. The teaching assistant will work alongside a highly skilled, motivated and friendly team, led by our ARP Teacher and our Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, in developing our new ARP, sharing their strong SEND knowledge.
