HAF Support Officer - Fixed Term Contract ending March 2024

Exciting Opportunity to work on the Holidays, Activities and Food Programme.
Also known as HAF, the Holiday, Activities and Food Programme is a national programme funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and delivered by local authorities. HAF provides an opportunity for eligible children and young people to take part in physical and enriching activities during the Easter, Summer and Winter holidays. Some of the key aims is to provide a safe environment to help prevent social isolation, as well as providing a healthy meal and nutritional education.
If you have a passion for delivering projects that work with families with children from 4-16 around community food, nutrition and physical activity, then this role could be for you.
Job Role
The successful candidate will demonstrate professional expertise and have significant previous experience working within a diverse administrative role. You will be working closely with the HAF Programme Co-ordinator to support the administration and coordination of the HAF programme. You will be the first point of contact to customers and partners in person, online, and via telephone. Other responsibilities include processing data, scheduling meetings, and supporting the HAF marketing and communications strategy.
Please note: The role will be based at Gearies Children’s Centre with the opportunity for some remote working. The post holder will be required to be available to work flexibly during the upcoming Summer and Christmas holiday periods.
