What will a Trading Standards Officer do for Hillingdon?
This is a role for a Trading Standards professional who will form part of the Councils Trading Standards and Proceeds of Crime Service. You will work on investigation and enforcement activities including product safety, doorstep crime, illicit alcohol and tobacco as well as a wide range of other trading standards enforced legislation.
You will manage a complex caseload of investigations and complaints and ensure that you contribute effectively to team plans and Council priorities.
The Trading Standards and Proceeds of Crime Team is part of the Councils Public Protection and Enforcement service which includes Environmental Health, Licensing and Street Scene Enforcement.
What we are looking for:
You will have demonstrable experience in the enforcement of Trading Standards and Public Protection legislation and you be able to contribute confidently to Team Plans and Council priorities.
You will be motivated, possess strong investigative skills and be highly organised. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills are expected as the role requires dealing with victims of crime in a sensitive and compassionate manner.
You will have strong experience with the production of prosecution cases and be well versed at presenting evidence in Court.
